Help for HotFix/Release Notes Utility
- Hot Fixes
Enter one or more defect numbers into the Enter Defect Number field. (Separate numbers with commas, using no spaces.)
The utility extracts TFS data for the defects and creates a readme file based on the following field mapping. The defects are combined and sorted alphabetically by Area Path.

- Release Notes - Defects
Enter a product name, version, editing status, and (optionally) a date range*.
The utility extracts data from TFS for all of the defects that meet the criteria you entered, have a State of Awaiting Deployment or Closed, and have a Disclose to Clients value of Yes.
For each defect that satisfies the above criteria, the Issue ID number and Release Notes Description text is returned.
All defects are combined and then ordered alphabetically by Area Path.
*Leave both the Start Date and End Date blank to return defects regardless of Fix Complete Date. Enter both a Start Date and End Date to return defects with Fix Complete Dates on or between the specified Start Date and End Date.

- Release Notes - Regulatory Updates
Enter a product name, version, and editing status.
The utility extracts data from TFS for all of the defects that meet the criteria you entered and have a State of Awaiting Deployment or Closed.
For each regulatory update that satisfies the above criteria, the Issue ID number and Release Notes Description text is returned. All defects are combined and then ordered alphabetically by Area Path.

- Known Issues
Enter a product name, version, and editing status.
The utility extracts data from TFS for each defect that meets the criteria you entered and has:
- A State that qualifies as "Open" (all states except Closed, Rejected, Request Rejected, and Awaiting Deployment).
- A Release Notes Description field that is not null
For each defect that satisfies the above criteria, the Issue ID number and Release Notes Description text is returned.
All defects are combined and then ordered alphabetically by Area Path.
