You must articulate to your Axium consultant what your firm wants to achieve with Ajera and what your normal workflow is. Your consultant can then tailor the implementation to your firm's needs.

2. The implementation involves only you, the accounting person at your firm.

   False. The implementation involves many key people at your firm. For example, principals have strong opinions about what kinds of reports they want to see, project managers have preferences about how they want to track their projects, IT staff need to know how to set up Ajera within your firm, and so forth. The members of your implementation team must know what their roles are and where they are in the implementation.

3. An Ajera implementation takes an average of 12-20 weeks.

   True. An implementation takes a significant amount of time. The size and complexity of your firm, your beginning balance date, and whether Axium converts your existing data for use in Ajera are major factors in determining how long the process will take.

4. After you enter a transaction, you can change the beginning balance date.

   False. You cannot change your beginning balance date after an entry is made to the general ledger. This is why it is important to set a realistic timeline for your implementation and to carefully choose a beginning balance date. If your implementation progresses slower than anticipated, speak with your consultant about pushing the beginning balance date back.
