Use the Labels tab in the Customization area of the Configuration workspace to replace the default
Deltek CRM labels with those that are used in your firm (for example, replace the default "Partner" with "Subcontractor").

| Custom Labels grid
|
Use this grid to substitute your own labels for some or all of the default labels.
For example, if you specify "Subcontractor" as the label to replace the default label, "Partner," "Subcontractor" automatically replaces "Partner" everywhere that label appears in
Deltek CRM.

| Label search field
|
To locate a particular label, type one or more characters from the system label in the field next to the grid name. That filters the grid so that it only displays a list of system labels that contain those characters. To restore the full list, click
X at the end of the search field.

| SYSTEM LABEL
|
This column displays the system labels for which you can specify alternate labels. Both a singular and a plural label displays for each term. The labels in this column are for reference only, and correspond to the default labels for professional services firms. The labels in
CUSTOM LABEL are the labels that
Deltek CRM actually uses.
If you define
a business unit structure in the General area of the Configuration workspace, the list of system labels includes
Business Unit Level system labels for the levels you set up. The level labels you specified in the General area display in
CUSTOM LABEL. If you decide to change those labels, you can do it on this tab or in the General area.

Initially, this column displays the default labels that
Deltek CRM uses on its tabs, forms, and dialog boxes. For professional services firms, the labels match those in
SYSTEM LABEL. For government contractors, this column displays a default set of custom labels tailored for government contracting. To replace a default label with your own label, enter your label and its plural form in this column.
