Create a DSN Connection for a Data Source

If you created a data source on a different physical server or with a different database instance, you must set up the data source name (DSN) connection using the Cobra Data Tool.

To create a DSN connection for each data source configured in the Data Tool, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Start > Programs > Deltek Cobra 8.x > ODBC Admin Tool (32-bit).
  2. On the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog box, click the System DSN tab.
  3. Click Add to display the Create New Data Source dialog box.
  4. Select the driver for which you want to set up a data source and configure the appropriate settings for your connection.

    If you select Oracle in OraHome11g, ensure that the Enable LOBs option on the Oracle tab in the Driver Configuration dialog box is cleared.

  5. Click OK to save your settings.
