Add Users to a Workflow

Use this procedure to add a user to a workflow using the User-Defined Data form. The added user field also becomes available on the Code Assignments tab of the Projects form.

The user defined/created in the workflow has nothing to do with Roles created in Deltek EPM Security Administrator (SA). Deltek EPM SA helps you define the security rights for PM Compass users and maintain license keys, groups, roles, and access to the various EPM applications.

To add a user to the workflow using User-Defined Data, complete the following steps: 

  1. On the Navigation menu, click Administration ยป User-Defined Data.

  2. On the User-Defined Data form, in the Area drop-down list, select All Workflows or Projects.

  3. On the Custom Fields tab grid toolbar, click Insert to add a new row. By default, the Code Assignment option is selected in the Tabs column.

  4. In the new row, enter the Label for the new user and click Enter or Tab from your keyboard to populate the Database Column Name field.

  5. In the Data Type column, select User.

  6. Click Save.
