Create Reports on the Report Working Area
Create reports on the Report Working Area. The easiest way to get started is to start with a standard report template or a category to find your data. More advanced users can search for fields and objects directly and drag them onto the report.
- Start with a Template: For a quick and easy start using one of the standard Deltek Talent reports as a base, click Use a template.
- Start with a Cateogry:
For a quick and easy start using a pre-built category as a base, click
Choose a category. A pre-built category is a custom object created by Deltek that contains the most frequently used fields as well as common joins, calculations, and summaries.
For example, instead of starting from scratch dragging objects from the Requisitions table, and other tables necessary for the proper joins to report on requisition activity, you can start with the Requisition Activity category. This adds pre-built objects, with automatic joins that provide quick access fields and calculations related to applicant and candidate activity and statistics.
Click the category to load objects, then drag what you need onto the working area.
- Drag and Drop Columns: For power users with an understanding of MySQL, you can click Start adding columns to open the Field & Data Objects widget, search for objects, and drag them onto the working area.
