Field Description
Document Type Code

Enter a document type code.

There are 11 Costpoint-defined document type codes that display automatically in this field. You cannot modify or delete these codes. Costpoint-defined codes are as follows:

  • BASE: Base Contract and Mods
  • BRIEF: Contract Brief
  • CLOSE: Closeout
  • CORR: Correspondence
  • DEL: Deliverables
  • GO: Go-No-Go
  • NDA: Non-Disclosure Agreement
  • RFP: RFP
  • TA: Teaming Agreement
  • TC: Terms and Conditions
  • TECH: Technical

For user-defined codes, once the code is used in an opportunity, contract, subcontract, or organizational conflict of interest (OCI) record, you will not be able to delete it on this screen.

Document Type Description Enter a description for new document type codes. For existing codes, you can modify this field for both user- and system-defined document type codes.
Show in Lookup

This check box is selected by default for both user- and system-defined document type codes, but you can modify it. Keep it selected to display the document type code in the lookup of the Document Type field on the Manage Opportunities, Manage Contracts, Manage Subcontracts, and Manage Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) screens. Only those codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records on these screens.

If you clear this check box for a code that was already used in an existing record on any of these screens, you will still be able to save that record as long as you do not replace the document type code for that record.

Source This field displays System (system-defined code) or User (user-defined code). You cannot modify this field.
