Set Up Lead Source Types

Use the Manage Lead Source Types screen to set up lead source types. User- and system-defined lead source types that exist on this screen can be used in lead/contact records in Manage Leads and Contacts.

To set up lead source types:

  1. Click Contracts > Contract Management Controls > Contract Management Controls > Manage Lead Source Types.
    The table window displays 10 system-defined lead source types.
  2. In the Show in Lookup column, keep the check box selected for the corresponding lead source type that you would like to be available in the lookup of the Source field in Manage Leads and Contacts. Only source types with this check box selected will be available for selection in new records in Manage Leads and Contacts.
  3. Optional: To add new lead source types, complete these steps:
    1. Click on the application toolbar.
    2. Complete these fields:
      Field Description
      Lead Source Type Code Enter a code to uniquely identify this lead source type.
      Lead Source Type Description Enter a description for the new lead source type.
      Show in Lookup Keep this check box selected to display the lead source type code in the lookup of the Source field on the Manage Leads and Contacts screen.
