Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Report Actions Toolbar

From the Report Working Area, use the Report Actions Toolbar to access tasks and functions you need to create, edit, and view reports. Some options differ if you are creating a report, editing a report, or viewing a report.

Create/Edit Report Actions Toolbar Adding and Editing Toolbar
View Report Actions Toolbar Viewing Action Menu
File Menu Perform options such as opening, saving, cancelling, and exporting the active report.
Options Menu Customize report details such as whether a report is public or private, and the color scheme. These and other options can also be defined from the Report Options widget.
Tools Menu The key functions and tasks to create and edit reports, from adding field and data objects to filters, sorting, grouping and more, are accessed from the Tools menu. You also set which side of the working area to dock widgets.
Add Columns Click to open the Fields & Data Objects widget where you can search for fields to add to your report.
Undo/RedoUndo/Redo The Reporting Tool saves each individual action taken while editing, up to a maximum of 25. Use these icons to undo an error, or quickly repeat your last action. These actions are listed in the Edit History widget, where you can access more control over undo and redo actions.
Save Click to save a report.
Popup or TabShow as Pop-up/Show as Tab toggle between viewing the Report Working Area as a tab on the main screen, or in a draggable, resizable pop-up window.
FiltersFilters Icon This icon displays when viewing reports. Click to open the Filters widget.
chartsCharts Library Icon This icon displays when viewing reports. Click to open the Charts widget where you can access available charts to add to a report. You can also add a new chart.
Saved ViewSaved Views Icon This icon displays when viewing reports. Click Save current view to save the sorting, grouping, filtering, and chart settings of the current report for later use when generating this report in the future. You can also select previously saved
Export asExport As Icon This icon displays when viewing reports.
