Organizations Overview Tab

The Overview tab of the Organizations area provides a snapshot of the selected organization: description, specialty, whether the organization participated in prior work, most recent opportunity and touchpoint, and locations other than the primary location.

Field Description
Description

This unlabeled field displays a description of the organization.

To edit or format the description, hover over it and click next to the field.

Aliases This field displays any alternate names for the organization, such as an abbreviated version of the legal name or an acronym for the name, or an alternate spellings of the name. For example, Brownstone Technology Systems may also be known as Brownstone Tech or BTS. When you search for the organization in a search field, Deltek CRM automatically includes both organization names and organization aliases in the search.

To edit the aliases, hover over the field and click . After you enter each alias in the Edit Aliases dialog box, press ENTER so that each alias is on a separate line.

Specialty These fields display the type of service or product in which the organization specializes and any additional notes related to the organization's specialties.

To edit the specialty information, hover over the field, click , and make your changes in the Edit Specialty dialog box.

Socioeconomic Status This field lists any business development programs for small and minority-owned businesses for which the organization is eligible.

To change the list, hover over the field, click , and change the selections in the Edit Socioeconomic Status dialog box.

Prior Work This field indicates if the organization has been involved in prior work that your firm has done.

To change this value, click the field and select Yes or No.

Most Recent Opportunity This field displays the most recent opportunity with which this organization is associated and the organization's role for that opportunity. The most recent opportunity is the opportunity with the most recent open date for the period up to and including the current date. Opportunities with open dates in the future are not considered.

Click the opportunity name to display a tooltip containing opportunity information: opportunity type, estimated revenue, probability of winning, date opened or closed, status, and stage. Click More in the tooltip to display the full opportunity record on a separate browser tab.

Last Touchpoint These fields display the date of the last touchpoint with which this organization is associated and any notes entered for that touchpoint. The last touchpoint is the touchpoint with the most recent date for the period up to and including the current date. Touchpoints dated in the future are not considered.

Click the date to display a tooltip containing the date that the touchpoint was created, and the name, title, phone numbers, and email address of the employee who created it.

Field Description
Other locations If locations other than the organization's primary location have been entered, the tab displays the addresses, phone numbers, and FAX numbers for those locations.

To change an address, hover over it, click , and make your changes in the Edit Location dialog box.

To add a new address, click on the Organizations toolbar and add the address on the Edit Organization form.

Field Description
Additional fields If your firm adds custom fields (fields that are not in the standard version of Deltek CRM) to this tab, those fields display below the organization's other locations. To change the values in those fields, hover over the field, click next to the field, and make your changes in the field or dialog box that displays. You can also change the values in these fields on the Edit Organization form.
